Cuba Gallery

Photographer Andrew of Cuba Gallery not only shoots amazing photos, he uses Adobe Lightroom in post-production to make them even more visually stunning. His photos have that retro and slightly cinematic feel to them, as if you're seeing a freeze frame shot of an old film. By controlling the colors, tones and lighting, Andrew creates spellbinding stories that make you feel lost in his world.

Nom de Guerre 2010 Fall/Winter

The New York label Nom de Guerre impressed us earlier this year with its summer collection, and is now presenting its winter designs in the Countdown to Violence collection.

After taking inspiration from the controversial theme of the Algerian war, this next collection is based on the conflict between African armies. The aesthetic is dominated by ‘black’ and military influences, which cannot fail to rally your spirits with the intensity and mastery of its creations.

In September 2008, Fedrigoni UK opened the doors to its London Showroom, a place to showcase its fine and speciality papers. The purpose was to have a space that would bring the paper company closer to the design community and offer a same-day sample service. Each month Fedrigoni UK holds various events in the showroom aimed at designers,from talks and exhibitions to games nights and awards. The showroom is also open for designers to use as a meeting space with their clients, exhibition space, sample library or private event space.

For this project, the challenge was to encourage more designers to visit and use the Fedrigoni London Showroom. In response, Fedrigoni paper, photography and digital manipulation were used extensively to create a set of posters. These designs emphasise the creative possibilities of paper, and communicate the spacial freedom provided by the London Showroom.
