Morphy - Morphyology EP
Glasgow’s Morphy is one of our favourite producers here at the Labs with his deep and dubby beats doing the business again and again. We’re chuffed to be offering up this wee bundle of free beats just in time for Christmas.
Inside “Morphyology Vol 1″ you’ll find some tracks that have previously been released and some unreleased, so gather your family round the fire, get the mince pies on the go and get dubbed out yer nut.
Morphy himself had this to say about the bundle:
“This collection brings together previously unreleased material, “lost” dubs and some all time personal favourites – given away with the permission of the respective record labels who originally released them.
I wanted to do a collection of tunes that sums up the Morphy sound, from the ambient dub style through to the percussive jungle numbers.
Some of these tracks never got completed and other tracks never got released. So I thought instead of letting them gather dust on an external hard drive I would make them available to download.
I also wanted to include some of my favourite tracks from the last few years so that anyone who hasn’t heard them will get an idea of what my music is about.
By making this bundle of tunes available for free I hope I am showing my gratitude for all the support I have received.”

Postanowiliśmy trochę poeksperymentować i jednocześnie tchnąć nieco świeżej energii w "Cash and Hearts", czyli nasz pierwszy singiel z "Lights so Bright". O pomoc zwróciliśmy się do zaprzyjaźnionych z nami dj'ów i producentów, naszym zdaniem jednych z najciekawszych przedstawicieli nowej fali na polskiej scenie klubowej. Pomysł był prosty: udostępniamy im nagrane ścieżki utworu a chłopaki mają wolną rękę i nadają im nowy kształt w swoich studiach. Na koniec całość wydajemy w formie EP i udostępniamy za darmo. W taki sposób otrzymaliśmy 6 zupełnie różnych wersji, od UK Garage, przez Nu - Disco i House po Electro. "Cash and Hearts Remixed EP" pokazuje jak bardzo rozwinęła się w Polsce scena elektroniczna. W tworzeniu EP'ki udział wzięli Last Robots, Gangsteppaz, Intreau, Viadrina, Tony Stylu, Invent a także Przemek Ostaszewski w roli grafika.

Dieselboy's mix CDs have turned on generation after generation of heads to the sounds of drum and bass. From “Drum and Bass Selection USA” in 1996 to “Substance D” in 2008, each has become a classic for the genre. Recognized for their solid content, clever aesthetics, imaginative concepts, and intense energy, his CDs have set the bar against which other dj's mix projects are measured. Because he only releases mixes infrequently, these moments are considered a special event.
This is one of those moments.
Dieselboy - Unleashed! is his most layered and nuanced studio mix to date. Returning to his old school mixtape roots where he isn’t limited to what tracks he could use or license, Dieselboy has used the opportunity to take Unleashed! to another level.
56 tracks were used to craft a deep and extensive 73-minute mix that reveals itself only after repeated listens. Steering away from banging out an "of-the-moment" forgettable dancefloor rinseout, Dieselboy throws down a wide variety of current and classic tracks and edits, wrapping up the mix with 25 minutes of finely diced dubstep that showcases his current taste in the genre and forthcoming tracks from his dubstep label, Subhuman. Finally, the project is given a tongue-in-cheek graphic treatment that references the exploitation sci-fi fantasy movie posters of of the 1970s. It looks and sounds hardcore.

Been a while since I've published a mix and figured it's time to deliver. So here I am thinking to myself what direction to go to in this one, I've already had a mix full of dancefloor vibes, one that's showcasing unknown talent, mostly out of the soulful liquid delicate stuff, and one with the nu-skool deeper vibes (as well as a competition mix for Sun & Bass '10 which I haven't uploaded here). And then I had a Captain Obvious moment: go across the board of what you play.
So without further ado, these are all tunes I really dig, no filler material in my opinion, and definitely one that tells a bit of a story. You'll also find that each and every single one of the artists showcased in this mix are ones worth watching and supporting, especially the less-known names!
